Wheedie vs Trademe in the sale of magazines

    Hi Guys
I notice that on Wheedie.co.nz there are people selling large capacity magazines', does this mean that Wheedie allows for e-cats items on there site

Magpul Gen2 PMag 5.56x45 30rnd AR15/M4 Magazine for sale on Wheedle
DPMS PANTHER ARMS LR308 20 rnd Magazine for sale on Wheedle

    Cheers

No-one polices it because there's nothing to police, it's not illegal

I tried ready Wheedie policy and all I could find is

    Firearms and ammunition

You can only advertise legal firearms "A" category firearms as defined by the Arms Act 1983.

Advertising a firearm is limited to one firearm per advertisement.

The seller must sight the firearms license from the buyer face to face. For remote sales seller must receive written confirmation signed by the Police confirming that the buyer holds a valid firearm's license. Forms are available at any police station. You can only sell firearms that are currently in New Zealand. Overseas members selling firearms from outside New Zealand is prohibited and will be removed from the website.

weedle are very firearms friendly at present. If we were smart we would put everything in the buy sell section through there and try and give TM some competition but we aren't so it'l die off and we will just keep moaning about the over restrictive over charging trademe.

I thought anyone can buy a mag , regardless of size/capacity .... so long as you don't have a firearm to put it in ..... if its bigger than "a" cat rule , ... as in , because I don't own an ar15 I can buy 30 round mags and be within the rules ...? or am I way off

Correct but try listing a 30 round mag on trademe. But again we should no complain as EBAY does not allow any firearms sold on there site but they do allow large capacity mags

It is because everyone is too stubborn to jump ship from trademe to wheedle because trademe is all they know and yet those same people whinge and bitch about trademe policies the option is there to use another site but no one wants to.

You just make sure it sells before TM notices.

It's only A catters that pay those ridiculous prices

How about every time you go to list on Trademe you try with Weedle as well, Tradme certainly needs the competition as their fees are crazy for what they provide.

Selling something for under $20.00 on weedle is free, over $20.00 cost one dollar.
No silly restrictions for asking questions or what you can sell. It doesn't have anywhere near the traffic of trademe but neither did Trademe when it started. The only thing holding it back is peoples apathy and impatience and that's what TM are relying on . There's a lot gear that passes through this site, if it was listed on wheedle first and linked back the the traffic will go up, punters will start to see stuff they are looking for and the snowball starts rolling.

Takes a couple of minutes and costs me one dollar.

I've sold 30 round AK mags on TM before, just have to be subtle about it.
A buy now helps too. Quick sale.
