You depart with mighty boasts, but you come back having done little.
Sounds like a typical hunting trip !
If nothing else don't let GC set up your gear.
Have seen 2 rifles in the last 6 months where the scopes were set up and bore sighted by them and neither could even hit the box the target was on . . . at 25M.
The Biggest Room is the Room for Improvement
Don't forget to get yourself some gun socks or you will ding up your rifles taking them in and out of the safe.
GC have a real bad history but your local in Hamilton has real good guys there and even if not “family” they are helpful and they usually have the best range if stock. As said, dont let them set up your gear ( visit a local NZDA range, take tools like allen / torx for your gun and just ask random blokes (or womenn) for a hand and you’ll get a pretty competent job done.
Fitting one too many big-scoped guns in a safe i made a stepped base out of leftover 4x2 so every second gun was 10cm higher than those on each side of it. Thats solved most of my troubles.
I will go without rather than set foot in one of those..... Im a supporter of the big green stores LOL but actually bought new off gunworks as Amanda is awesome to deal with and did good deal on price plus the suppressor was done in house so to speak so I knew it would be right.
75/15/10 black powder matters
I've actually bought a lot of my fishing gear from HF botany and they've been great. Think I'll go scope out Reloaders and work between those two to start. Thanks for all the insights guys.
