I have a Kestral but seldom use it these days. Be aware that any anemometer is only going to give you the wind speed at your current location.
This is my one. Brought a second hand wind meter/weather meter type. can't recall make and model. it likes to chew batteries tho.

But what the Kestral could provide is Temp and Pressure?
I don't think the phone has the sensors so there must be some link in the software that sources the detail relative to the nearest cellphone tower. Here is a pic of the relative part of the software. Attachment 25780
Rushy - have you checked the results from your phone against what your kestrel is saying?
Just curious if there is a difference and if so, how big is it?
The kestrel 2500 is the one ya need.
I also have applied ballistics on my samsung s4 which has internal temp humidity and pressure sensors which the AB software can load into the relevant fields.
I will see if I can get a screen shot!
No I haven't. I just checked the digital barometer at home and it says it is currently 1021 hpa so there is a marginal variation.
Yep checked it and diference is negligible
It's a pretty compelling case for the S4 that's for sure!!
