    Windage over to one side?

    Hi team,

Got a dilemma with my new rifle. My scope was mounted on my tikka and had a pretty central windage turret when zeroed.

Now mounted on the new rem 700 with zero MOA rail, burris z rings with 10moa inserts and bore sighted. Problem is its only got 5 MOA left of windage to the right. I know I need to zero by firing it but cant do that till Sat. Not sure im going to get much back if any anyway.

What would be your thoughts on cause at this point? Rail on the piss?

Really? Seems theres something more sinister afoot. Thats like a bandaid solution. Id like to know why its so far out of alignment.
    Anyone had similar issues?

rail could be on the piss / poorly installed ? take it off and use a vernier to check if the holes drilled into action are out of alignment and also if the holes in the rail are central ?

are you sure the inserts have not rotated ? that could also cause it...

other stuff to try would be to turn the rail around if possible, and to swop back and front rings (changing the inserts of course)

First rtfm again and make double sure inserts are correctly installed.
If that and rings are good look along the action from above with scope removed and line the edge of rail up with side of action. If you can see any missalignment at all its your problem. This could be the rail or holes drilled on the piss in the action.
It's a lemington not a quality tikka so allowances have to be made.
