Zeiss Binocular repairs
Anyone have any experience sending binoculars back to zeiss to be repaired? Have a pair of victory with scratched ocular lenses, they will need replaced.
Is it worth doing or is it going to cost as much as a new pair?

I have sent a scope back to Germany and another to the USA. I could not send the scope to Germany Zeiss until I had arranged it with a specific person at the factory and the scope had to be insured and sent back by a specific method and insured. It was was quite a rigmarole and expensive (hundreds). I sent a scope to the USA Zeiss (a conquest 6-20x50). The factory in USA (where they are assembled) refused to accept it because I had not done the pre-arrangements before sending it. The scope was sent back and NZ Post lost it and refused to refund (fully insured) because the process took longer than a month. So, if you are going to send anything to Zeiss set it up with the factory before you send the item.
