    Ive not had a zeiss 1-4, but had a kahles 1-4 and found the x4 end of the zoom a little underwhelming (in terms of magnification) given the size and bulk of the scope. A light weight compact 1-4 is absolutely fine, but the 30mm heafty version did not make sense once i had it on the rifle and carried it around. Now have a vx6 1-6 which is lighter than the kahles and the 6x is big step up.
