    Zeiss Victory RF binos

Anybody have these or compared them to Alpha Binos.
Also if a member could take a photo of the NZ Hunter review from issue 70
Would be grateful. Interested in how they stack up against EL range and HD-b
    Thanks in advance

Be careful - Zeiss has a bad taste here - due to the Terra and Conquests I imagine out of China
I took 3 months to sell a pair of 10x42 Victory HT (non rangers)
Brand spanking New and ended up selling for $2500 - 2K below retail price :-(

    Anyone had experience with Steiner

What was the reasoning with the conquest range having a bad rap? My understanding they where made German made with entry level terra being produced in china
Interested on feed back as was looking to grab some conquest 10x42 after lock down👍🏻

We used Zeiss Conquest scopes for a couple of seasons guiding, and never had so many problems with scopes on work rifles! They eye box is minimal, the focus is crap, they were often changing poi, clients were complaining, the list goes on. In my experience any of the Zeiss made in the last few years aint worth the money. But I do have an older Duralyt on one of my rifles and it works great.

You could be right about the Conquest Scopes - but I thought they did a Conquest in Bino out of China like the Terra ??

@Sarvo my conquests are german made and hold their own against leica trinovids and even swaro slc's that I compared them against. They are a few years old though. In comparison the terra made like looking through coke bottles!

I currently have the Zeiss RF victory 10 x 42 binos. They aren't bad but ive also owned the Swaro EL range.

Unfortunately they were stolen from my truck one day and I replaced them with RF victorys. Which was a mistake Zeiss have nothing on the Swaro EL range.

Ill definitely be replacing the Zeiss with Swaro again once funds allow. No question IMO Swaro glass is leaps and bounds better than Zeiss.

Are your Zeiss RF Victory bino's the newest model which came out a couple of years ago? I had a look through the new Zeiss model at Reloader Supplies and thought they were at least as good as the Swaro EL Range.

I also had a pair and wished I still had them. They're probably the sharpest bino's with the best 10x42 low light performance I've ever owned and I've owned more than a few alpha bins. Only sold them because I had a major issue with one of my eyes at the time which took four operations to fix.

That must be one of the worst reviews ever knocking a product. Even the warranty is incorrect

Hi used to own the older Zeiss RF binos also the pocket version. All the Leica models including the latest.
I’ve ended up with Zeiss HT 8x42 as they are simply stunning alpha glass + Leica CRF 2800B. Ie best possible optical performance with custom Ballistic solution in the CRF which I upgrade every new iteration.

No RF bino can compare to a dedicated top line Bino. There are compromises with the beam splitters and internal LED displays which interfere with the optical path in some way.
The original Zeiss were terrible with one eye significantly worse than the other. They went back. The new Leica and their Berger prisims are very good but still a slight compromise sold them. Swaro with the main mechanisms sling below the main tubes are very good maybe even better than Leica and certainly coach but dont offer the ballistic calculator I used them didn’t buy them.

The little Leica CRF I use now has really sharp optics, simple to use, light to carry in the front pocket of my bino harness and allows me to enjoy absolutely perfect binos. A few folks I know now do the same with Swaro ELs and the CRF. By the time I have to use a range finder the game is already 200m+ away so I’ve got time to grab the CRF which are right where the binos are anyway. Anything 250m odd is a dead on shot my a 7mm Mag anyway.

But I’m a bloody fussy bugger when it come to optics. So Check them out yourself at dusk. Where the difference really counts.
