Your interest makes me nervous :)
Checked again today. Shot 129 goats on a trip the week before last. Been bounced around a bit and whatnot. Still holding zero within 0.1MRAD. The line is a shit aiming point

This March is a good scope. It does not get babied and it is reliable. @Tentman the zero check above is 10rd all hitting within a 0.5MOA radius of POA - so 10x hits on a 1MOA target.
Attachment 276700
Across the last 40 rounds of zero check - 39 have hit inside a 1MOA circle centred on POA. 1 has not. That's still not 100%....
How's everyone else's zero holding?
Attachment 276730
Developed 3 different loads now shooting 2 different projectiles with a spread of 200fps and this is the most deviation I’ve had.
I’m picking one of these charges and will adjust .25 up and right and be done for another 22 months or so.

Do you loctite your Talleys or use better screws?
Zero check of a couple of rifles yesterday.
Defiance 6.5 prc integral picatiny...Warn split rings VX6 3-18 illuminated
Begara mountain 2.0 .308 Talleys mounts VX3I 3.5-10.
Prc hasn't really done anything since it's last range visit but it did get cleaned.
First shot very low and right next shots all in zero...which is not surprising as I have never had it move since putting it in the macmillan.
The Bergara has spent quite a bit of time under the seat in my 4.5m fryan boat getting pounded and has shot a few goats and 2 deer and got wet last time out so also got cleaned.
The ttsx load seems a bit to the right and concerning the sub load has a lot of vertical in it that it never used to have....maybe due to being cleaned....

I have fired plenty of rounds to ascertain grouping ability and Zero so I had taken the scope of and on my 22-250 and was just checking.
1 click up and done on 22-250 and 300nm good to go.

Follow-up zero check at 100m, 8 shots. Only significant change to setup was using the concrete bench rather than the wooden one used for the initial zero. Since then only one hunt, which included a few bumps, multiple turns on the elevation dial and action in/out of stock about half a dozen times.
While it was grouping better, I'm not sure if I can be confident enough to call it a zero shift ? I wonder to what extent parallax error comes into play.

Good test for the scope, good vid.
When I think back over rifles I have had that haven't "held zero" its been the stock everytime...either wood changing shape with moisture/weather or just budget shit plastic stock with no bedding at all.
I'm inspired by the state of your turrets lol. I've put my beloved march on my hunting 308 (tikka 16"). Tho I'm not game heading north of 16lbs of torque on those scope top screws.
I'm just using weaver branded skeletal rings but I did notice a huge difference in boresight POI when I thumbsucked the rail bolts. When I used the fat wrench and set them to 45lbs I noticed I was now pointing right at the centre click (exactly 14mils left and right).

Result: Has held zero inside 1.5moa for over a year without adjustment. Several hundred shots.
Sometimes my shooting has been a bit shitty (1.5moa) and sometimes Ive surprised myself like today with the Hammers.
Over all this is a hell of a reliable platform. It shoots 7 different bullet types and weights into the same zero. Watch out for it in my estate sale.

Checked again at the range tonight. Since last check, two hunts (five deer :)) and a clean.
First 5 shots on paper at 100m.

Leupold VX-freedom 3-9 x40 in Talley rings

Adjusted one click left after this.

I believe one click down. Initial zero was off a wooden bench and subsequent two were off a concrete bench. Not sure if that's a factor, as well as potential parallax error. I feel comfortable that it's not moving enough (or at all) to warrant concern for my intended use anyway. I also shot a subsequent 5 shot group which measured 1.2moa so I think it's all within the precision window for this setup.
This set up shat the bed big time in terms of holding zero this weekend past. I need to shoot it off of the bench in the same way I zeroed it to rule out shooter error, and whether attaching an Arca rail and a Ckyepod to the handguard resulted in a POI shift.
It was used to shoot a couple of fallow at 300m after the above zeroing session, and it shot predictably. It was handled roughly getting a deer out of a gut, and on quad bikes since, so if it is something mechanical and not just me, I will need to comb over what has happened.
Hadn't checked recently. Banged 5 through it today. Based on prior data, no evidence of a shift yet.
Attachment 283970
Probably safe to assume my issue was related to fundamentals, or parallax or something. Safe to assume my zero hasn't "moved".

A few hunting trips between drinks, including a couple weekends ago when it seemed my rifle was off.
10 shot zero check today 21/09/25
Attachment 284089
No changes or adjustments. Zero checked off front and rear bag, on a concrete bench, same as I originally zeroed it.
I could bring it up .1 mil I guess
Very interesting posts @Beavis with quite a bit to study. Was this factory ammo or reloads? My experiences with some shall we say "variations in POI" was what prompted me to critique my previous shooting technique, and explore some new thinking. I posted about this in the "3 Finger shooting" thread as it was a revelation to me and has improved my consistency considerably- and without any effort on my part. It works especially well with M4 ergonomics, I reckon I've reduced the groups I was shooting with the Elude chassis by 10-20%
This is with handloads. 73gr ELD, PMC brass, CC450, 24.5gr 2208. This load does not post any accuracy records, but it has proven to be very stable and predictable in terms of dispersion in this barrel.
My disastrous field zero check was done off a MDT Cyke pod, prone, rear bag. I was posting groups 1.5 mil high and half a mil left, then adjusted, then posting .5 mil low. Chasing my tail. Ripped off the Arca rail and bipod, shot off a back pack. Posted better results but still not happy.
Contrast this with off the bench from heavy bags. No stress at all. Gun doesn't move around. I'm inclined to believe the field zero adventure was entirely me. I don't really shoot prone off a bipod all that much. The sun was belting on one side of my face and into the ocular making me strain my eyes. If anything it shows how things can fall apart in sub optimal conditions.

S&L 223 today in the rain with grandson in attendance jumping about as they do. This rifle has had a lot done to it since it's last check which has considerably improved its groups (I'll write that up in a separate thread) but despite being out of the walnut stock several times this is a good enough zero. Might go a couple of clicks left now I've sorted it.
Attachment 284901
Oops. Thought I'd posted it some time ago . . .
How's everyone's zero going? This one still shows no evidence of a shift. Only put 5 through it yesterday cos it was raining. Been on a few work & personal trips and shot a heap of goats & a couple of deer & the NRL hunter match. Still good.
