    .338 Norma first outing

Had a few queries as to the new rig so thought id thread it.

don't do the loading myself unlike my .300wsm and .270 as I am still a little intimidated by the round

Target was a light weight mag feed 300 grn .338

    terminator products built .338 Norma
    2 round internal mag fed
300grn bergers OTM 2780 fps (which I am sure is conservative)
    hunters edge stock
    TF 26"
    PTG bolt
    terminator break
    NF rings
    Leupold mk4 8.5 - 25 x 50

cant quite remember the weight in total but close to the same weight at the .300wsm which from memory was around 3.75kg

really nice rifle to shoot, groups VERY well.

took a couple of tahr during our rutt mission at respectable distances and its fair to say they stood no chance.

highly recommend the caliber and rifle.

    beside the .300 WSM

    poked quite frankly

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

yeah I am stoked with my choice after debating the ins and outs of differing .338's and firing a bunch, i was nervous as its still considered a relatively new cartridge but brass is stock ie no dorking round and its proving to be an absolute ripper!

with the terminator break its grouping better than my .300 wsm with a suppressor and give or take within an inch at 100m which I would not have thought possible given the size and weight

overall length with 26" barrel is the same as my .300 suppressed
