Thread: Acouple of days in Kaimanawa's

Felt like I needed a break for a couple of days to recharge the batteries & just get in a some hunting.
Checking some new country so headed for a popular spot in the Kaimanawa's armed with some new knowledge
and a couple of pieces of gear I was itching to try out.Also getting a better understanding of this GPS . Seems
to work a lot better with lithium batteries too as per manufacturers recommendations.

A lot of this ,it was just every where & I haven't seen sign like this for a long time





Spring growth still appears a little way off but plan to be back in a few weeks.No meat to bring home
this trip but meet some nice people & found myself a new spot-X which seem like a gem at the moment.
Here's 1 for Rushy, some protein for dinner .Didn't taste too bad after a hard day on the hill.

Dam it was a cold place to be ,but with better gear now was so glade I was there.The wind coming SE
all weekend with Scotch miss showers threatening to turn to snow for 3 days was nice to be liberated at 8pm
Sunday & head back north to some warmer weather.
