Nathan F invented it... the 'AMAXed' deer.

That one went down nicely with the A- Max. Good range not to extreme.

Hey Pop Shot, they're not screaming. 2770 out of a 22 inch barrell.

A nice lightweight medium range set up. I'm loving the VX6 scope...

    Good stuff.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.

@craigc - that's pretty decent speeds though given the barrel length. Do you still aim through the shoulder or do you intentionally aim a little higher? I saw @stug mention he prefers a higher shoulder shot. Thoughts / experiences...

That deer was actually hit lowish and due to the angle of its body the projectile came out the neck - hence the instant knock down!
I just aimed for the middle of the shoulder, like I usually do! They usually fall over...

Yep middle of shoulder is where I aim. The spine is lower through the chest than what most people think. The projectile doesn't usually hit the spine but seems to shock it enough to drop the deer on the spot.

Good work. I'm taking my 7mm rem mag out this weekend to amax something at 3000fps!
The saying " Amaxed " came about ten years ago. My go to gun was the 7mmrum and 7mmsaum's was you guessed it
A 7mmsaum and nothing was safe.
