A bit of Light reading for Tahr

Just got back from a trip down south shooting waimate wallabys for a week .
I was lucky enough to get the call as the usual team member tahr is off the road for a while. Was a great trip , i can see why they chase the wallaby so often , very addictive.
We cracked the weather , arrived just as the snow and rain cleared and had blue skys until we were on the way home , started pouring in kaikoura .
Managed to have an upset with the transport just at the end of the trip with a ball joint failing resulting in the cv coming out and one corner of the quad collapsing . thank god it wasnt at the far corner of the block in the middle of the night. While we went for the trailer , Dad managed to get the wheel off , tie the bits up , counter balance the far opposite corner of the bike with some weight , and drive to the trailer with 3 wheels
A great trip with plenty of animals seen and shot , and great company.
Heres a few photos and a vid.

Mostly from around 60m out to 250 , i was having a bit of trouble with the sytong ballistics set up i think , and missed a fair few. one of the others shot one at over 400m. closest was 5m i think.

If you look at the bottom of the screen on the video you can see the rangefinder distances showing.

@ANOTHERHUNTER is that an aimpoint red dot on top of a thermal scope? Very cool if so.

That is the rangefinder for the 'scopes ballistic calculator.
The scope is day and night vision. Not thermal. It uses a built in infrared torch for night time.

    The rifle is extremely quiet.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
