Yeah that's what I thought to myself a few times but I'll withhold judgement on "ALWAYS" trusting the dog. I recorded where I hunted, which I won't share for obvious reasons, but looking back on it we did quite a few loops in areas where I thought the wind was swirling a lot. They were the times I thought might be best to plough on ahead but the dog looks keen so will follow. At the moment I'm in the "almost always trust your dog" camp. I'm not sure there's much better confirmation that their nose works as dropping a deer in some crown fern and giving the "find command" and watching them b-line towards it when there's no way they could have seen it drop there. Pretty impressive.
