    Checking out a new spot

My mate and my son and I went to try out a new spot in The Urewera last week for a few nights. It turned out pretty good. We got 2 on the walk in

My mate got another on the second to last day.
Oliver took the gun up front for a day.
He was a lot quieter when carrying the rifle.
He went really well and we could easily have found a Deer.

On the way out he carried all the meat from my hind. 25 kg all up. Not bad for an 11 year old.

Yeah those are Sarvos boots. I'll be getting myself a pair when my current ones wear out.
