    A few pictures

Yesterday kiwi james and I went for a stroll to stretch the legs and talk some bullshit.
Hinds with fawns and stags in velvet fulling the freezer wasn't going to be easy.
    Here's a few pics I took, enjoy.

    Nice.
Was it windy? Its been a bugger here the last 2 days.
Whats it like up there today?

Its hard case how you are on the one hand an ethical hunter, but on the other covet your hunting mates' wife. Eh.

Very nice day out. Typical Ruahine with wind jinking all over the show. It even rained briefly in the day.
Some pretty tough conditions for paddock hunting. Plenty of stock to give you away and little cover.
Not to mention some rather amateur errors made in Shooter letting the team down. Picture 5 has a hind with fawn and after about 10min watching her, a yearling also showed up. We guessed it as her fawn from last year.

The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice. And because we fail to notice that we fail to notice, there is little we can do to change; until we notice how failing to notice shapes our thoughts and deeds

Yeah. The yearlings seem to get kicked out when they drop, and then re-unite again. It's a bit like trying to get rid of your kids nowadays. They keep gravitating back to where the best feed is
