    Great evening with my son

I took my son out for a hunt this evening, I said he could go to my normal spot while I checked out some new terrain. I had just lay down ready to glass when my son called me up on the radio and said he had just shot 2 deer. I never even heard a shot so I got him to repeat it and sure enough he said he had 2 deer and could I come to help.

I walked over a few hills and made my way there about 30 mins later, then I help dress the animals and it was time for the big carry out.

    Good times!

You are right there however he wasn't feeling so energetic this time as he had been out all night before so I carried the smaller one out first then went back and helped him with the bigger one. I guess it's the least I could do since he shot them but I was buggered afterwards.

He usually does most the lifting so it was good to chip in for once

Nothing better than hunting with your dad. Apart from having your dad carry a deer for you... :-)

Thanks for all the replies guys, I am really proud of my boy with his shooting. The hard part was cutting it all up, late nights after work and early mornings before work. My son is cutting up the last of it as we speak, thank goodness that job is done.

Yeah time with you kids is precious and we really enjoy getting out together when we can, a deer now and then is a bonus. Great memories
