    @MightyBoosh you are so right about the yanks and their love for turkeys.We know a guy that was from the States and lived in NZ for 18mths,took the guy on multiple trout fishing adventures. If he was with me on this turkey shoot he would of shot the biggest and ugliest gobbler in the mob. He called in a gobbler with his yankee caller while in NZ shot it and got it mounted by a friend of mine that is a taxidermist.They measure there trophy gobblers by the beard.

    This is his so called trophy...it would of been as tough as old boots.

    Apart from having to pluck etc., the best tasting turkey I've had by far. (And yes that is a concrete tie wire holding the legs up...)
    Please excuse spelling, as finger speed is sometimes behind brain spped........ Or maybe the other wayy.....
