You sure as hell wouldn’t want to hit him in a car. My son in Canada has to watch out for deer and especially elk and moose crossing on highways , they will kill you if you hit one at speed.

Over in the US, someone, i think in New York State, put up a plywood cutout of a stag on the side of the highway.
It looked convincing. They also set up a few cameras to capture motorists reactions.

As I recall, a fair few handguns came out, and put lead in the air in the general direction of the beast.

My personal favourite was someone caught on tape crawling towards the stag with the clear intention of malletting it with a tyre iron .

I got this bloke on camera as we were leaving Hari Hari last roar. Filming isn't flash at the start as wifey had to do a quick U turn and I was getting the recording started.

2015 or thereabouts, in Idaho, driving from Boise to way out in the sticks with my son for a hunt, we were spotting numerous animals from the car. Whitetail, Mule deer, Elk, Bighorn Sheep. Passing some large pastures we had to stop for a few minutes as a herd of Elk, possibly 100 + beasts, jumped the low fence, crossed the road ahead and jumped the fence into the opposite pasture. Were were just amazed.
Several days later, early morning driving back through countryside to Boise some Mule Deer does crossed the road some distance ahead of us. As they were a fair distance out I didn't slow down. Suddenly my son urged me to brake, which I did. Unseen by me a Mule Deer buck in rut, chasing the does, came out of nowhere, crossing us only just in front. If I hadn't braked I'm sure we would have collided.
It's really great seeing all the game there but easy to see why vehicle collisions happen.

Same happens locally here, have to be mindful of deer & pigs on the road. I came across a decent sized pig last night crossing the road.

Driving from Cromwell through to Queenstown we regularly see goats on the verge of the road in the gorge.

Driving through Austria you’d regularly see Roe deer in paddocks or chamois in the more mountainous areas.

In Africa we’d have to be mindful of big game, both two legged and four legged… two legged would rob or just generally exert money out of you, four legged could tip your vehicle over.

I've just spent a month in the US riding a motorbike through the Colorado and Utah Backcountry Discovery Routes and had a self imposed 4pm to 8am no riding curfew, still almost got taken out by a Whitetail early afternoon.

Looking at the thread title something else went through my mind. But I'm way to polite to say what.
Seventenths of all people is the only one mention it.
