    Marlin does the business

Took the new marlin 308 for a walk yesterday, my first time on private land so I brought the wife along for a look. We walked over to a face that looked promising, I got the the binos out and soon enough I picked one up feeding on the bush edge.
Ranged at 460 yards, it was abut out of my range, so we crept closer, but he must have seen us and walked into some scrub, I ended up staking up to the bush , when 3 of them came out running for more cover.

I let out a whistle and the spiker stopped and turned around for a look. I took the shot standing and dropped him on the spot. We dragged it for some photos, gutted it and packed it up the hill and begain the walk to the quad. Was a good day and the wife enjoyed her first trip out with me hunting, she seems to think its always easy now though. Mite have to take her to the ruashines and see what she thinks then lol.

Thought I'd do a quick report as I don't post here much, cheers Rambo
