Nice shooting considering the conditions. What's the best way to cook the birds, roasting or casserole or any other way you may do them?
Good shooting... -18 Celsius, bloody cold!
Meh, the real cold starts at -22 to -25 and it turns brutal below -30 (can't breathe too deep, uncomfortable).
I don't know the "best" way, but you definitively need to keep them rare. I give them a quick fry in oil with spices and put them in the oven whilst making the vegetables. It should be almost raw in the center.
No I haven't. But now that you have mentioned it, I will try it tomorrow. Makes sense!
Tried it, was excellent.
Marinate in salt, pepper and oil.
Quick fry (less than 1 minute) high heat.
Into oven bag and another 7-8 minutes there.
Result was incredibly juicy and soft. Like eating a meat-peach.
Awesome cheers for posting Norway :)
I wondered what you were shooting at till you went and picked up the first one.....I was thinking where is the deer?:D
Sure are well camoed in the snow.
They can be terrible. To the point where I am considering getting a Swaro 15x56 bino despite narrow field of view.
