Thread: Mrs veitnamcams first shots with a centerfire and first kill.

Mrs VC (well she will be on sat) Had been showing a bit of interest in coming hunting for a while,So with this in mind Id bought a tika M595 in 243 and sent it off to tuiman2 to have a carbon suppressor fitted.
Initial testing wasnt to flash so I bedded it(took me a couple of goes)
After bedding it shot stupidly well

This evening I had to shoot up to a mates after work to kill a sheep for the spit for our wedding, So I asked the bride to be if she would like to try and shoot it with "her" rifle. A slightly nervous yes was the reply as she hadnt shot it yet.(or any center fire) I dont even know if she has heard a center fire before this evening!

The only shooting she has done was with the pee rifle and subs at some fearsome looking beer cans about a year ago.

Not exactly hunting but we did put in a stalk of sorts in order to get a safe backdrop.

Bit of training waiting for presentation and safe shot, She didnt moan too much about lying in a heap of dead thistles in tights

First shot parted the wool on its head but thats about it.



The next shot which I also videod was a neck shot broadside on which dropped it on the spot on the track

Unfortunately in my haste to get up there and blead it I turned the camera off before I pushed the shutter to stop video and it didn't save to the card

Next up plenty of range work then a deer(fingers crossed)
