Your AO will supply you with a booklet outlining what you have to do

    As commented above.

Installation must be approved by a member of the Police.

Talk to your AOS ....... They are who you have to satisfy.

But Basically if using a Safe.

Minimum 6mm steel safe with anti pry features fitted to the door and fitted with at least two 6 lever mortise locks fixed with at least two 10mm bolts/coach screws into the wall studs and two 10mm dyna-bolts into concrete floor or 10mm coach screws or bolts into wooden floor joists.

If bolting to a wooden floor then you must also install a 6mm steel plate of sufficient size to prevent the safe from being cut out under the floor as well.

    Cheers
    Pete

yeah we have an AO on his way in and will present to our NZDA club in a fortnight. they are doing my check this week (earlier than expected) however was a little confused as to requirements.

due to the swift nature this weekend was only time i had to finish installation

P38 the info you have provided is brilliant, this will work a treat

    thanks

Might have to join the NZDA, starting to get expensive,
NZPA, Clay bird group and now NZDA, do they accept any old learner hunter like me??
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

    Can't see why not Mikee

They accepted me so they probably can't have very high standards to maintain
