    Mt Tapuae o uenuku climb

Went for a bit of a walk up Mt Tappy by the Clarence river in behind Kaikoura. Was a bloody good tough walk and the five of us managed to get to the top aswell. Stayed one night on the mountain and one night in a hut on The Bluffs station. Awesome time up there with heaps of goats, deer, chamois and a couple of pigs around.
No guns were taken in order to preserve chamois numbers and the farmer didn't want us to bother his deer!Name: DSCN2960.JPG

    Great photos' great animals. Brilliant

Drove through farm tracks which were in pretty good knick for 2 hours to get to the bottom.

Good stuff, I've done it from the Hodder side but looks cool from there too. Heaps of goats in the Hodder but didn't see any deer, was a few years ago before I'd got into hunting though.

Great stuff guys! It's on my to do list. Was permission hard to get from Bluff station? It would be nice avoiding the 75+ river crossings in the Hodder! I have hunted near to Bluff station, the area was crawling with deer. Great pics and glad you got the view from the top

Was all pretty easy, we talked to the owners and they charged us $75 to use their roads and gave us a good map and intsructions. No need to get wet boots!
