Mate that was a great read 1st thing in the morning, it's what it's all about, you did it and you did it buy yourself - a lot more than me for my first stag. Epic hunt and epic story, that feeling when he is finally down is great, I still remember mine vividly

Dont waste your time chasing every last fps, it doesnt matter in the real world, it wont make a difference, all it will do is cause head aches and frustrations. And dont listen to silly old cunts

Epic yarn mate, really captured the essence of hunting at this time of year. There's much more to it than the "non" hunters will ever understand. Good shit and congrats. Now go get another!!

Well done fella! Really enjoyed the yarn and the heart you put into it. I reckon the size of the timber is second to the chase and the experience of a true hunt and even then, it's a very nice rack.
Keep up the hunting and the writing, you go about both in an honest and inspiring way. Thanks.

As above cool story. Honest and down to earth. If I had half your hunting skills I’d be twice the hunter...and I’ve being doing this most of my life

For how hard you have worked in chasing that fella that is a trophy alright. Well done mate.
Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

    Thanks all,
I had worried the steaks from a rutted up stag might prove too gamey so had it all processed into sausages and salami's. Turned out bloody nice too.
Thumbs up to Brent at the 'Sausage Shed'.
