    Well Done .

That & same relative size for Deer, have always been known as Snack Packs in my Hunting Circles , some of the best meat on offer ,while l was guiding in the mountains of Argentina ,Italy & Spain ,when we were invited by the Land Owners for a meal ,they would serve pig on the Spit slightly smaller as a great delicacy & when cooked properly it just melts in your mouth .In Argentina that would be simply split down the Centre, props placed in the rib cage to "butterfly ' it & propped on the edge of the fire & flipped as it cooks ,one of the best feeds l have ever had.

Like the SAFers with their braai, the Argentinians just love putting on an asado. It looks a bit weird to us Kiwis just propping stuff up beside the fire pit but it sure works.

My Argentinian friend did this with a wild goat kid I shot. Everyone preferred it over venison.

Nice yound kid nanny is, along with with yealring Tahr, my favourite.

Can't say I'm bored of venison, but with goats being the only viable "game" animal in Northland unless you have dogs, you have to make the best of it. We've been pleasantly surprised by what we can do with goat. Not just curries, all sorts of things.
