About LinkBacksBloody bwuety day working in the northern Tara's today, went for a nice 4 hour walk this morning clearing pred traps & then doing a bait run this arvo, about 30mins in a call comes across the RT, Dans seen a couple of beasties on the bush edge & is going to see if he can smoke em ( luckly he's got the trusty old Sako in the ute ) 10min later a nice loud "boomfa" echoes across the valley. Finish the track and cruize down the fence line to meet up with Dan & the ute, Sweet he bowled a 6 pointer
We head into the scrub to find it and yup here it is, Then shit one of his mates has decided to double back around, I run back to the truck and grab the rifle and rock back in and pass Dan his cannon, The little bugger was hiding just out'a view and then I see him through a gap in the trees about 50yards away, I grab the bang stick put a bead on him a let rip straight through the shoulder
Sweet I could use some more Veni for the BBQ

Well done Phillipo, I bet you weren't thinking about the old ball and chain when that was happening. VC I agree with your comment about the antlers, most of the stags in the neighborhood are well int velvet now.
