Patience, Persistance or just good luck

I've finally got the pics off my phone from the weekend so really stoked to be able to show people now. Went to SA on the weekend for a hunting weekend tagging along my Bear Mauler and was fortunate enough to get on to this big boy!
After a fucking hell of a lot of hard work over the past year and a fucking stinking hot day I've finally managed to put my first deer on the ground with my bow and what an animal he is! Thanks to HartHunter for a good weekend and look forward to this story and a story from him as this truly was a weekend of a lifetime!

MY first deer/buck with the bow - 35 metre shot, adrenaline was pumping so much that I fucked up a quartering towards me shot and hit him in the neck but the rage did its job and he went down 50 metres away!

    Brilliant. Well done
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

Congratulations. You won't forget that one!
Looking forward to getting out in the roar and getting a stag with my bow as I've been a bit lazy recently and picked the rifle up instead.

Sure is mate, that's what you get when you cross Australia's most barren state with intensive sheep grazing and pretty much 15years of drought like conditions. not quite the beautiful sites as nz but it has its own challenges and own rugged beauty.

Yeh you and me both Matt, my feet stil haven't touched the ground after this but when they do got some hard yards ahead. Just got my elk cow diaphragm today and I've seen them work so keen to see of I can draw a big red in with it!
