    Quick Ruahine Overnighter

Some of the older forum members might recognise this spot as we use to take a few new hunters up there to help them get their first red deer in the public land, my son managed to shoot his first Ruahine deer this weekend and we got to see some pretty cool country. If you went on one of the forum trips, you should recognise 'Manuka Camp'.

Here's a video of the trip and a few photos:

looks like all that practice with Grandad has paid off....not sure if dog is interested in latest facebook comment on phone or saying bugger off and let me sleep here in sun??? either way its a cracker photo. camp stuff scattered as only us males seem to be able to do.
enjoy the venison, those hard earned ones taste just that little bit better.

Yeah, she's hard to fatten up and I've tried everyone else's advice already, I was going to get her some mutton flaps; thanks for the reminder. :-)
