    Ruahine Rampage 2

Last weekend @popshot and I headed into the Ruahines to abuse our bodies and hopefully find a couple of the deer that are supposedly in there. We certainly managed to abuse our bodies on some of the steepest North Island country I have ever hunted on and found some deer. I’ve put this video together to show how we went.

The Svord bird and trout knife? It’s perfect for deer. I refinished the handle and redid the edge as they come pretty roughly finished. But it’s perfect now.

That brings back some memories. It’s not my old spot but very similar with the steep slips and plentiful ongaonga, and the track in down the cliff face was so steep it was known as the hanglider track
