    summer red

    got this tasty little beauty yesterday. she was shot 525 yards away on the opposite side of the valley with my 270wsm.

    It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
    What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!

    south wairarapa, and yes those blow flies were pretty terrible.

    Do you get into the Fallow Deer down there?
    The problem (I'm guessing) with longer distance shooting in hilly areas is the time to recover the animal. You may need to invest in a taser to deal to the blowies

    yeah mate there are some good fallow herds down here, 95% of them are on private land tho but there are some on public land if you know where to look. iv got access to private land to hunt them but i hardly ever go there, for some reason i prefer hunting on doc land instead.

    one good thing about blow flies is i just follow the sound of their wings to find the deer, almost better than a dog haha
