Sun and snow and a guy with long legs
Today Kiwi James and I went and explored one of the local rivers to give the legs the stretch, and both of us where keen to get a brake from the women:)
The weather was less than average, very windy, rain, sun and snow:)
The trip was off to a bloody bad start when James thought he'd bring the "curse" rather than his R93, good thing I had a proper walking stick:)
The highlight of the walk up was some rather attractive German trampers.......I had to drag James onwards kicking and screaming:)
There was plenty of animal sign around which is always good.
We climbed right up to nearly the saddle and had a look around in the wind.
It then started to snow so we headed out.
On the way down James went up another branch while I stayed in the main stream hoping to assist more trampers:)
James had a show down with a couple of stags that are still running........
On the way out after 6 hours walking we dam near ran over two spikers on track:)
And I learned that keeping up with a guy with two meter legs is hard work.
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
And if I've got too, two or to round the wrong way I'm sorry but shit happens:)
