This weeks outing
We have been waiting for the weather to come right for a hunt up the tops for a few weeks and Sunday looked like the day for it.
It was 3am when dad picked me up to make it up there before daylight. We got up there just as the clag was clearing .
It was gona be a mint day .

We sat and glassed as the sun started to warm our backs I saw a red hind heading back to the cover of the bush she was moving to fast to make a move . Abit later on we saw a hind and a yearling having some family fun time in the sun they were at 1100 yard and looked to be settled for now so we moved in . A quick 700 yard jog had us at 400 yards we got set up for the shot and took one each as the freezer need a bit of a top up .Attachment 30984
Was a pleasure boneing them out in the sun then a bit of a haul out of there and back down to the truck.
Also got my partners sika stag back this week she got done through sika country taxidermy. What a awesome job.
