    Winter hunting

Quick report, havent posted one in this pub before so took a while to figure the photos out. Have been for a few walks in the last few weeks, plenty of Sika about despite the 1080, infact im yet to find a dead deer. 11 in total seen from 2 afternoon hunts and one day hunt, one of which was a hybrid yearling in an area which is not know for reds, all were within a stones throw of nice sunny spots. Anyway I havent been shooting hinds as im after a nice head skin but last week Luke.s and I were stalking along when we came across a yearling, bowled her over and shes now in the freezer. The same day we saw a hind as well, she vanished after lukes shot, the one day lukes mung Bella stays at home and we need her to track the deer, ahwell shit happens.
    The yearling

Found heaps of these little bastards

Still a bit of bait around

Got this little farker under the tyre on the way out of the hills

Also shot a few goats (not in the Kaimanawas)

Luke and Bella with a goat

This one was recovering from a wound of sorts, was pretty manky!

Anyway the last few weeks in a couple of minutes, still after that cape so will be back in soon as.

Real guns start with the number 3 or bigger and make two holes, one in and one out

Good skills with the tyres versus rat. Not as easy as it may seem as the little buggers do get to scampering. The only good rat is a dead rat!
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
