    2002 hilux

    My daughters hilux has a bad vibration sounds in the passenger foot well when reving has anyone coming across this had 2 mechanics and a panel beater look at it with no luck, have removed antenna but noise still there? Cheers

    Has it got a snorkel? Could be a loose washer where snorkel bolts to fender? Otherwise best bet is join “kzn165 owners” Facebook page and post a video of the sound on there. 10000 guys on there so no doubt someone has had the same thing before. Helpful bunch

    Yip it does have snorkel think panel beater checked that, not on Facebook but will get daughter to cheers

    My 04 made that noise as well from snorkel.....but only when it was between 16 and 18 degrees. Never managed to stop it tho. Tried packing it in different places and nipping up all bolts, but in the end just tolerated it

    My one also starting leaking into footwells both sides. The headlining in both top corners of windscreen started getting wet when it rained. Suspected rust or the seal around windscreen, but turned out to be the silicon/polyurethane under the weatherstrip along roof had cracked allowing it to track forward. Pulled that up and resealed it and put strip back in. No more leaks

    Her one also leaks on passenger side has had new strips put in

    My one had fine cracks in the seal under the weather strip....... also leaked through firewall but RTV in the right places solved that as well

    It's just a factory standard feature of turning diesel into noise, that's why the badge on the side that says 2.8 is pronounced "two point late"

    Where abouts on the fire wall? Ive tried to find it but I think its in under the wiper motor, had that out to try seal it but no luck yet.

    Will do, I just run without carpet at the moment and the floor drain out 😂
