2014 diesel Hilux slow starting & loosing fuel prime.

    As the title says.
    Was fine untill injectors replaced.

First start of day. If not primed will struggle to start. run for a bit & quit.
Pump up & starts after a bit then stays running.

Keep using & eventually starts like it should.
    Goes well when under way.

Garage is trying to sort it but so far nothing obvious. Usual sources of air leaks seem fine.
How much use are the electronics in this sort of situation.
I'm wondering about pressure loss in hi pressure pump or similar.

If hitting it with a hammer doesn't work I'm lost.
Which's why the garage has it. ( they did the injectors)

    Any suggestions please.

Low primary fuel pressure to the pump

Is there an external fuel leak under the bonnet ?

White puff of smoke on startup ?

A rattle until it idles smoothly ?

Valve in fuel primer leaking off? Try putting a one way valve (the right way round) in the fuel line before the filter

Have you bleed the air out of the system after replacing the injectors?

Your loosing prime somewhere. Something is leaking and letting air in.

It isnt making oil is it?? ( check oil level, is it high on the stick??)

    Something isnt right somewhere.

    This guy, for PM!

Likely something has failed in the system and it's not maintaining it's prime (air leak prior to the injection pump) or there isn't a seal working right in the injection pump. Another possibility is the stop circuit not sealing off? It will be a case of tracking down the culprit...

But hopefully it will come right if he leaves it for about 90 days?

Did you replace the injectors? or a garage? If a garage, go back to them.
Can you guarantee there is no debris that may have compromised the seal when refitting the injectors or the pipes?
A loose injector, perhaps the crush washer isn't sealing, or a loose pipe either at the injector or the pump, possibly. Either will be letting air in and losing prime.
Was the fuel filter replaced at the same time? it may not have sealed and is letting air in.
Loose hose clamp on fuel line from filter/primer housing to injector pump.
Brittle/cracked fuel hose, unlikely as not old enough.
Hand primer has failed and is letting air in.
