I used old belts off a round baler If they curve down they might catch on tyre chains.

Conveyor belt or garden edging from Bunnings etc is the go. They flex when loved up against rock/banks

Edit: shit Gibbo those pics look like you've got erectile dysfunction.

Mint il check out the garden edging. It looks ok without but the treads like 70mm outside the panel so a WOF might not be acheivable

Be sure to seal the holes you make in the guards where the screws go, otherwise your guards will rust out really quickly.

Cheers. If you can see i had to grind a bit of the guard off at the back bottom to stop guard rub when hitting the bumpstops bit of primer and all good

Excuse my ignorance and to save me going out in the dark and looking in my wheel arches. How do you attach your garden edging to the inside of the wheel arch

The garden edging works a treat. Cheap, just flexible enough, and it's really tough stuff. Having a kettle handy to help shape it is key, as are big round washers and those captive screw kits (wurth do them), the more the merrier. M5/6 bolts are better, but a pain when you've done 50 plus and you can juuuuust reach them

The ones I've put on were like the 2nd ones in top pic. They had a thin strip of tin/Galv steel screwed up through the lip on guard. The garden edging may be stiff enough to have screws 150mm apart, with a fender washer or similar. If it was me buying, it would be the edging, the flexible rubber ones are getting close to $100 for 2 arches from memory
