the learning curve with boats i have helped a few mates
hay bro im wanting a new boat
oh yeh what do you want
    a 16-18ft cabbin boat
oh yeah cool what you got to spend
    10k
my advice don't do it whatever you buy for that money is going to be old and fucked and spend more time in the shop than on the water

buy a smaller tinny with a good motor way better option

buys a old 80's fiberglass hull with a 80's 2 stroke with a rotten transom "good job bro lol" cant say i told you so hahaha......

everyone wants a big boat but unless you can afford to buy a good big boat your better off with something smaller and buying quality

I'm 3 months in to first boat ownership and it's going well. No dramas. I owned a jetski for the last 7 years, so got my head around trailering and launching etc. I've also spent the last 25 years fishing on other people's boats of all shapes and sizes, so had a very good idea of what I wanted.

FC560 Centre Console. Done 5 trips so far and happy with it. Seems to ride well and very dry. Haven't got wet yet! Lots of deck and storage space. I'm aware that people are hugely biased towards boats (and guns!) they have just spent a heap of cash on, but I'm speaking as I find. If there was something major I didn't like, I'd say so.

oh classic! the joys of boat ownership.. i've had 8 trailerboats.. been full circle & now i'm at small, modern & low maintenance. it's a steep & punishing learning curve, especially for the slower learners among us ..ahem.

Trip #6 today, bloody awesome! Gets smoother each time. No regrets about blowing a small fortune on a boat

    Nice @MB
Nice trev awesome well bleed and eaten raw thin sliced with soy sauce
    My favourite for sashimi

The fc boats are so easy to launch and retrieve eh and tow
We just had to rugby players staying at our place from belfast while playing rugby for our club and having a working holiday in nz
Took them fishing most sundays as a chill day from rugby
They are hooked and going home to buy rods

Im in a wheelchair so i Get on the boat while it’s still on the trailer
But after 2 minutes in the car park telling them how the winch worked etc
One of the guys 1st time ever towing net alone reverseing a trailer backed it 50m without jack knifeing once that absolutely Amazed me
Got it off the trailer without a hitch
We went fishing then they got it back on like they were experts

One of them had never been on a boat in his life and the other had been once but had nothing to do with that side of things

Be time they left it was if they grew up fishing every weekend (quick learners)

Finally reached yard, the technician said " back the boat over there", me...ok.... On the way back next day, I was alright.
