    Adblue?

Looking at upgrading the Ute. Anyone here had to deal with Adblue as a mechanic, car dealer or fleet manager ect? Are the issues rare or is it a guarantee disaster.

I’m interested on hand on experience I already heard it all from mates of mates who know a mate.

There are specialist people around who can bullshit the system so it looks like it is in operation when in fact it isn't....I know of one vehicle that has been done but it was a truck not a ute.

sorry a bit off subject but NZ diesel is crap and very low grade if we bought the better stuff our trucks would run cleaner
but if you add LPG to diesel you get nearly 100 % burn a very big increase horse power and thus very small unburnt matter
i have dabbled in using vege oil [fish n chips oil ] and have the gear to refine it etc etc
but the only real problem is you get hungry from the smell Cheers

I seen a Toyota diesel ute that run on auto trans fluid (the guy worked for a gearbox reconditioning outfit) and he had LPG hooked up from a 9 kg bottle...apparently it fair flew when he hit the LPG as a booster....a guy from Mamaku run his diesel ute on used cooking oil, his method of refining it was to run it through those multi coloured poly bags the Warehouse sell...start up and run down on diesel, and yeah when he visited me one gets a bit hungry on the smell.

Issue is you loose the warranty if you go ahead with that.

Is it just mitsi which use ad.blue.? Got a hilux this year happy with it. Brother bought a dmax his lasted 1 week before issues. Has since returned md got a refund on it and I see its for sale back at isuzu no doubt with faults not fixed. He went for a raptor ranger . Uses more fuel than anything ive heard of.

    Hi all
Bought a Triton 3 weeks ago with the adblue, the tank of blue should last about 18000km so just gets topped up at the regular 15K service. Haven't noticed anything bad, goes well, very fuel efficient, and has more power than the old triton.
    Cheers

Adblue was a bit of a nightmare when it first came out on the trucks about 15-20 years ago, fixing problems with it kept me very busy for quite a few years but they have well and truly got it dialed now.
