Gotta eat my words. The new BT50 is the shizzle. I love it!
Sure the looks are a bit different but actually are better in the flesh and it goes like an absolute animal.
I had a BT50 for the day for a test. Unfortunately for Mitsubishi I had a Hilux the day before to test. BT50 goes ok without a load but with a trailer on and the back full of tools it was horrible. I much prefer the STX in looks and how it drives. The BT50 is too much like a car(if that makes sense).
I went for the Hilux. Even though in standard form it is incapable of anything remotely 'off road'.
The hilux or bt50 is incapable?

Auto be good 6 speed manual with a nice torquey desile seems a waste of time , which did you get?
6 speed manual. No big deal. Lotsa torque so any gear goes!
I went with an auto Ranger, really liking it although needs a few more km on it to loosen up a bit...
Sent from my cellphone...
Ive had both manual and auto ST-X's and the manual won hands down in the KMs per tank of gas
