I hate thieves! Good luck mate! One of my mates is an expat on the Gold Coast, got robbed and car stolen last week, the shitbags even went through the luggage of another couple of friends staying with him on holiday from NZ! Scum!
I called home one morning in the work ute after forgetting my wallet, to find someone had attempted to jimmy the sliding door! I had been away only 10 mins, lets just say they were fucking lucky I didn't surprise them as I was also putting a spade away at the time, and would sure like to thump a thief with a spade! I would also find it very hard to keep said spade on the "flat" side!
