    Diff locks

    Hi all

I'm certain one of you will be able to answer my question as I'd rather not waste my time with Trolls on Facebook and it seems quite a few of you know your stuff!

For my 05 Triton I'm wanting to pop rear diff locks in and as I understand it the Pajeros have the same drive train etc so would the diff locks from a Pajero fit my Triton in the equivalent year? Or have I got it wrong?

    Enlighten me please folks :-)

As VC says talk to a 4x4 wrecker. If they are interchangeable, make sure that you get the same diff ratio as your Triton
@40mm, Yes Hiluxs did come out with a factory rear locker option. It is an Electric locker, pretty robust, Expect to pay 1500 upwards for a complete rear diff, E Locker bolt pattern is different to the standard ones so you can't just swap in diff heads, well you can but it involves moving a stud or two, drilling and tapping threads, and a bit of grinding work. There is a computer to run the locker and dash lights too, but a clever fella with a soldering iron can make up a loom to operate it.

Why do you need a locker? could you get away with an auto locker in the front and leave the rear alone?
