    Grab bucket good

Hi guys, well after a week of no power ( it went off Monday night and finally got it back on lunchtime today), I can say my decision to buy a grab bucket for my little digger to do a bit of firewood later in the Summer, was very well timed indeed.
There was a shitstorm that blew through the area Monday, and I had quite a few trees down at my place. One of which took the line off the pole and as luck would have it the whole area was out anyway. Anywho, I have been using my little grab bucket to save my back picking up branches and rings. It is a pretty cheap bucket which probably wouldn't stand up to commercial use, but a bit here and there and so far so good.

Those grabs are excellent for "moving stuff" that isn't earth/metal, used one during a demo and site clear, man it saved a lot of buggering about, looks like your firewood for '27 is off to a good start!

Ya not wrong I am super impressed. I was contemplating a grapple but they were twice the price, and you can't scrape around at stuff with a grapple since they aren't as robust as a grab bucket. Now I'm thinking about a tilt hitch

I didn't pick up a single one of these by hand

Lol believe it or not it has pulled heavier It's a 660 Grizley so a bit of grunt, but I had to put it in 4wd and low to pull that load in from the front verge

Once you have a tilt hitch, its pretty hard to go without one

My only issue with a tilt hitch is I don't have any spare hydraulic levery things, so would need a switch I guess to change what the lever operates. The blade lever doubles as a track narrower/widener and you use the same lever to raise and lower the blade as well as narrow or widen the tracks.
I guess the people selling the tilt hitches will be motivated to solve my issue
