Thread: Hell corner

Not quite as good as in the Targa rally.
Just outside of Marton a cop who decided to show his skills on a closed road cam down the straight and there is a tight left hand down hill bend onto a one way bridge.

Well he was going way to fast and I called the crash before he even started braking and he comes down and straight off the end of the road through a fence and into a ditch, Was still doing at least 80kph when he hit.

Me and my mate where 1st down there way before the useless marshalls who where more worried about getting us away because the car was going to explode then cheeking the cop.
We both have good training in 1st aid etc and have volunteered at Manfield for at least 4 years doing crash rescue.

Cop-car was fucked. front of chassis was pushed up, sills where both split, radiator was pushed back around the motor bonnet was bent and poped up.
Cop had broken collar bone I think.

I remember seeing that on the news! From memory the story was that the organisers didn't even want the cop on the road but he was making such an arse of himself insisting on doing a 'safety check' run through that they finally let him go and make a fool of himself.
