You want the 24 valve 1HDt motor though if you are looking at others.

    Up to you though obviously.
    If I was to own another the only way that would happen is 24v and manual.

    A Bod I worked with had a manual S80,(turbo) must have had low ratio diffs coz mine (auto)(turbo) at 100kmh the rev counter sez just over 2000, his manual one said just under 3000!!! Anyone know about this variation?

    Yes the manuals are lower geared in top, makes them much much more driveable IMO especially in the turbo, standard tires etc auto should be doin 2400rpm locked up in top (4th) manual 2750rpm around about depending on rev counter accuraccy etc
