What year? I think you're estimate is more realistic, but if he wants $12K, I'd say buy it providing it runs well and is mechanically sound. He'll have no trouble selling it I can guarantee that!
Have you travelled any distance in one ?
It looks like a 75 series , bit hard to tell from the pic , but the narrow panel behind the door looks like a 75 .
Is it leaf spring front suspension ?
Ken
Will do more homework , don't know year or model to be honest I thought there was only 6 or v8 . And no haven't even driven one
Looks pretty tidy and would be good buying at that price - my 70 series has done more kilometers and only thing that has been done to it in 22 years is a new clutch.
I would have thought around 16k but I am not car salesman

Try for a trade in price instead of a valuation - without sounding too keen. Seems more the year rather than the k's that keep the price up. The V8 TD ones dont take much to make lots more power apparently
looks to be a 79 series
thats a 6 model, but they are solid as be a dam good work truck or hunting wagon
only problem i come across with them is the doors are a bit weak, tend to crack
but that could be rough dariy farmers tho:thumbsup:
It's a 6cyl non turbo 70 series. Engine is a 1HZ 4.2L.
Very reliable and sort after trucks.
Value could be around the high teens to high twenties depending on quality.
He got 17 k for it . His first estimate was way off . :oh noes:
