    Mitsi Challengers

    On the lookout for a new wagon in the 5-6k range. Been looking at the Mitsi Challengers.
    Thinking 2.8 diesel or 3.0 petrol as my understanding the 3.5 GDI petrols tend to be a bit more prone for problems.

    Thoughts on the vehicles? Anyone got one they are looking to flick on?

    They cop some flack, but mine has been gold. Diesel, 250K.

    2.8 turbo diesels are prone to blowing head gaskets and heads at mid to high kms be aware. Petrol v6's are good but thirsty.

    Also something to be aware of is that Mitsubishi seem to build their gearboxes out of glass, not sure on the autos but the manual boxes certainly cause a few headaches.
