So is anyone else doing this. I usually drive a land cruiser but I use my triumph tiger as an everyday bike and I much prefer it. I’ve moved a lot on a bike before , stuff you wouldn’t believe. I recon it’s pretty compétant to carry a goat over the back of the paniers though it’s easy to fill bags with meat and pack them away.
never tried hunting motorbikes are there many on doc land and whats a good cal to use :D

No reason why not use it.
Would be quick on the road and pretty good on tracks.
Just the issue of security when/if you leave it.
Can get lockable mesh bags to put your road gear (helemt/pants jacket) in.
Use over boots and you could ride too and from in your hunting boots.
Another trick we use is carry a length of light chain and run it though pants leg,jacket sleeve and helmet and lock onto bike.
Mind you some areas have improved out of sight as cameras have been put up and numbers of people around.
they are some good tips my brother, i have a full pannier set on my bike so use the panniers themselves to hold all the gear i don't take with me into the bush then across the back seats and panniers make a good surface area to support a small kill. just makes it very easy getting somewhere , its quick enjoyable. i suppose you guys don't have the issue of driving down the road with your kill of show. The UK would be going mental, think just recently in the news somewhere like Canada was reporting on a ute with a deer in the back being a disgusting practise and that it should be covered over and such....Quote:

Dundee and is mighty dog Bo where out hunting the pack of killer hares!:o He managed to manoeuvre his trusty steed and Bo into an almost perfect snipers nest.;)
The only disadvantage was a steep bank of two feet dropping away at his rear.:O_O: Seeing the pack he ranged them at over a 190 yards and was ready to engage them and take them unaware's!:thumbsup:
But his down fall was the Watties sauce that he had been consuming bring forth a mighty windy fart!:XD:
The pack of killer hares heard said fart and spied our valiant bushman knight on his trust steed with his faithful hound, they charged towards him with murder in there eyes!:yuush:
Dundee engaged them at range with his Excalibur the awesome P14 taking them on like the Russian gunners taking out the Charge of the Light Brigade at Balaclava!:redbullsmiley:
But so swift did this killer pack of Hares advice that our bushman knight could not reload fast enough.:o
Needing to find higher ground so that he could keep his head above the ears of the killer Hares (As you well know these ears are very sharp and can take out a Goodman's eye:wtfsmilie:) he clambered up onto the back of the quad bike swing his Excalibur for all he was wroth and extinguishing the swarming pack of killer Hares!:P
But Low he had not realised it was a ruses and that he was being flanked!!!:o
But his mighty dog Bo came to the rescue with a dive of NOOOO (please que music from the movie "Body Guard"! Thank you!);)
Bo's mighty dive cleared the flanking killer hare but the collision also caused the quid bike to shift... it slide down the hill creating a huge avalanche (Two feet high some say) Our valiant Bushman scoping up mighty Bo and with Excalibur akaP14 in his other hand he dived clear!:thumbs:
Now all that is left of the huge battle of the killer Hares and the bushman is the memorial of the two wheels of his trusty steed sticking up proudly out of the rubble that has buried the pack of killer Hares!:TT TT:
In Years to come passes by will look in wonder and awe at this monument! Like Stonehenge a visitors centre will be built and the sight will be fenced off to stop scavengers and salvage dogs from desecrating this monument to feats of awe!:sarge:
The disbelievers will cry folly we want to excavate the sight so that we can prove their was said battle!:fighting::useless:
But with the huge fees from the visitors centre no one dear!:P
There is a clue though that only the swift of eye will know that this ever took place....and no its not that you can understand the mumblings of the mighty Bo dog!:yarr: ptsd poor sole:TT TT::killzonesmiley:
It is if you look very closely at Excalibur you will see a hairline crack caused by the final killing blows.:cool:
