    new Doc proposal.

Doc have a new proposal to ban motorised craft on waterways in national parks. about time we had a vote of no confidence in the exsisting government and Doc department heads as public servants. this is just another thing we will have to mobilise on to get this proposal canned.

Say what... So you would need to kayak to the top of Lake horoko to walk the dusky track.... O and go back to the start to get your kayak back home. How does the hut and track maintaince teams get to huts on monowai etc... O that's right on a boat!

Funny how the NZ Hunting magazine just published an article on jet boating and this comes up......do you think someone has taken out a subscription i.e. Eugene

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

"The insolence of office", "and by opposing end them", "and lose the name of action". And William did not even know New Zealand existed, let alone DoC.
It takes 43 muscle's to frown and 17 to smile, but only 3 for proper trigger pull.
What more do we need? If we are above ground and breathing the rest is up to us!
Rule 1: Treat every firearm as loaded
Rule 2: Always point firearms in a safe direction
Rule 3: Load a firearm only when ready to fire
Rule 4: Identify your target beyond all doubt
Rule 5: Check your firing zone
Rule 6: Store firearms and ammunition safely
Rule 7: Avoid alcohol and drugs when handling firearms

Maybe ban helicopters. A lot more noise pollution, fuel intensive, carry a lot less too, and a lot unsafer than water craft.

Anyway, I disagree this is about reducing access. It's about making it possible to extract fees for exceptions to the rule.

Just another step in the master plan. Keeping kiwis out of kiwi land. It’s going to be a long 2 more years. Keep the pressure on them.

As Ive posted earlier, they don't want us in there.
They don't want introduced animals in there, guns are bad, and if the animals are gone why do we need the firearms, and if the game is gone why do we need to go right into the bush in the first place.
Its like an OHS safety analysis to the nth degree with animals humans and guns as the risks.
