I'll look into that database issue. That's what the guy thought it was. He's been getting lots of calls about people in the same boat as me thinking WTF is going on here?

Turns out I mistakenly thought if you were towing a boat or trailer you'd have to weigh that as well (you just have to have the total down force on the tyres weighed), to which a boat trailer really doesn't add a lot). Plus I'm sure they let you hop out of your truck if the CVIU ever did pull you up... but in saying that I don't think they're really going to give a toss if some bloke is towing a normal boat or trailer.
