I can't believe how the ISDE has been reduced to a 'rough' motocross track event these days??? No wonder the Romaniacs has become so famous. For an event (ISDE) that is touted as being the 'Olympics' of off road dirt biking, its current formulae appears a tad formulaic, as in the number of skillsets you need, appear to me to be less than you would need to be successful at the Romaniacs.

But there's no doubt about it, if you are really really good, you are spoilt for choice these days for events to challenge yourself against. Its just the $$$ that would hold most back.

The grassy sections that enables maximum spectators definitely doesn’t seem enduro like but im sure theres a shit ton of riding out in the hills between checkpoints that isn’t seen by the cameras. Was watching some go-pro footage from one of the US riders and the riding in the hills was much cooler then the timed sections seen by the spectators on the grassy paddocks. Chris Birch commented on it being tough last year so if he says so then i’ll take his word for it lol. Ultimately enduro and hard enduro are definitely not the same thing though.

Yes at this stage schedule doesn't conflict for the whole series.

ISDE is peak offroad racing in my eyes, awesome to see some kiwis in it.
My old man had an ex works Maico ISDE bike from back in the days where the factory put out some real cool stuff for the works teams
